Love It or Leave It!
My very first baby carrier was a well-used hand-me-down Maya Wrap ring sling! A very sweet mama gave me the sling and lovingly showed me how to wear my new baby! In other cultures, this is common tradition to show new mothers how to properly care for their new babies, but in the USA, this practice is much less regular. How thankful I am to Diego's mommy for showing me how to wear my babe and instilling in me a love of babywearing and the need to share the wonderful world of babywearing with other new mothers!

Your Maya Wrap is guaranteed for 1 year against manufacturer's defects, but it is always wise to inspect your sling occasionally for rips or tears.
The tail of the ring sling makes for an excellent sun shade or nursing cover! To cover baby, simply drape the fabric over your child and nurse discretely! At church one morning, our priest gestured towards me and our new baby while talking about new life, and the entire congregation turned towards us not realizing that my baby had been nursing under my sling!
As if you needed 1 more reason to wear your babe, but did you know that while being carried, babies spend more time in "quiet, alert state!" This is the ideal state for learning because when baby is carried, your child sees the world from your perspective, instead of the ceiling above his crib or people's knees
from a stroller. This extra stimulation benefits brain development!
