It takes a little time and practice before the techniques feel natural ,and you are able to use them without even thinking about what you are doing. You may find it reassuring to practice using the carrier with a flexible doll several times before trying it with your baby. Practice at a relaxed rhythm, when you are in no hurry, and your baby is calm, changed and fed. Explain to your baby what you are doing while positioning him in the carrier. He will sense if you are tense. If he becomes agitated, a little humor and gentle rocking will usually help.
