Onbu, the newest babywearing trend, is brought to PAXbaby by Tallulah Baby Designs Carriers and will be stocking this Friday, September 2nd at 1:00pm PDT! Olivia is a talented seamstress who, in collaboration with the PAXmoms, has created an amazing stocking of wrap conversion buckle carriers. What’s different about the onbu? There is NO waistband whatsoever, only shoulder straps, making this design ideal for quick ups and downs, pregnant babywearing, and anyone with a sensitive middle who detests the feel of that waistband digging in! Muffin tops don’t exist with the onbu so if that is what is holding you back from trying a traditional buckle carrier, the time is now; the onbu has changed the reputation of hybrid carriers and Tallulah is leading the way in comfort, accessories and attention to detail! Wrappers will also enjoy the similar feel to the beloved rucksack carry : easy, quick, supportive, but no tying needed!

Created by KoKaDi for PAXbaby, these Flip buckle carriers are the perfect way to wear Ahoi without needing to wrap! There are two sizes available for your baby, a “baby” size and a “toddler” size which are recommended to use with a baby up to 10 months and then up to a 24 month toddler, For reference, #babycate is 20 pounds and 15 months and is worn in a toddler size Flip!

The toddler size fits from about 10 months to about 24 months

All the fabrics are made of 100% cotton.

The two shoulder straps of the carriers are padded with soft thick foam

The hip belt is padded with relatively thin but firm foam

Our baby carriers are adjustable at the hip belt with Velcro and real alternative to the normal wrap.

The headrest protect against sun, wind and rain. Rolled up, it stabilize as a “neck pillow.”

When your child is older, the arms may be carried out.

The FLIP in toddler size and toddler size XL has an extra buckle on the back for a better weight distribution for larger children who can sit by themselves.

What better way to show off your favorite KoKaDi woven wrap than with a buckle carrier from PAXbaby! These wrap conversions come in two sizes, both with attached hoods and comfortably padded waistbands. Available for the perfect fit for your child, the TaiTai “baby” size is best worn with a wee one, maximum weight tested for the carrier is 33 pounds! The “toddler” size carrier is recommended to use with a baby older than around 10 months and then on up to a 24 months or older if your toddler is petite! One of the most interesting parts of the KoKaDi TaiTai is the scrunchable body at the base of the carrier, thanks to the handy velcro at the waistband; this can be extremely helpful if your baby is tall but thin to keep them well seated in the carrier with their legs in the appropriate M position!

Here’s the nitty gritty on sizing! For the “toddler” size TaiTai:

The width of the front panel is approximately 19″ at waist, 16.5” at shoulder

The height of the front panel is approximately 15″ plus 4″ width of waist belt

The minimum length of the shoulder straps can be approximately 24″

The maximum length of the shoulder straps can be approximately 72″

The width of the shoulder straps is approximately 3″

The minimum length of the waistband can be approximately 26″

 The maximum length of the waistband can be approximately 55″

Please keep in mind that these carriers are handmade from woven wraps in Germany. The design may differ than the photo shown as the placement of the wrap differs with each carrier cut and sewn. These are 100% cotton wraps used for the wrap conversions, and your carrier has been chosen to sell at PAXbaby with love!
