I am beautiful as I am. I am the shape that was gifted. My breasts are no longer perky and upright like when I was a teenager. My hips are wider than that of a fashion model’s. For this I am glad, for these are the signs of a life lived.

Just as all babies are different, mothers come in all shapes and sizes, too.

Which means that not all babywearing may look the same.

There can be struggles and obstacles to overcome at any size.

Which soft structured carrier waist buckle can extend the longest? Which one can cinch in the smallest? Which has petite straps? Which can you breastfeed  in? AND HOW?

Some babywearers are under the impression that breastfeeding while babywearing is only for the small chested.

The PAXmommies are here to prove that it CAN be done.

(With practice)

PAXmommy Brianna recommends rolling a prefold diaper, or muslin receiving blanket and propping it under your breast. She says that once baby is around 9 months, they will figure out how to support your breasts with their hands, and you will no longer need the prefold anymore.

This may take some maneuvering and fiddling with your SSC shoulder straps, in order to get baby properly situated at the breast. Lowering the shoulder straps, should help to get baby in the right position.  Practice makes perfect, but once you and your baby get the hang of it, you will forget that you ever thought differently.

Try practicing around the house next time you are getting dinner prepped, and be prepared to feel like even MORE of a superhero!

All that is missing is your cape!
