Celebrating Dia de Los Muertos became a new tradition for our family after adopting our daughter who is Aztec; respecting & incorporating her Mexican culture has been a beautiful journey for us. Seeing her ancestral customs being culturally appropriated by big box stores and mass media hurts my heart.
