As you know, posting these gorgeous baby carriers for sale as fastest fingers on our website often leads to disaster, so we are looking for a creative NEW idea for selling these beauties! ISO Angel is an option, as is inclusion with a Boom Box, but… what else?!? Tell us any other ideas you may have; we are listening! I think it would be fun if you do like a little contest. But in a short duration of time. For example. The first person that could create a collage with so and so (maybe list 10 items that is important to paxbaby or babywearing mamas) wins! Also to include the current date. Have the mama post a picture of themselves with today’s date with it. And possibly some tulas for ISO 🙂

I prefer FF since it doesnt delay and drag out the disappointment of failure. I guess ISO. A website scavanger hunt could be cool. Kind of like the GCDH. It might slow down the FF enough to not crash the site. Honestly, it doesnt matter HOW you do it, I’ll still be here trying my best! 🙂

I like ISO Angels. A stealth stocking is always fun… one or two at a time for a lucky mama browsing the site!
You could do draws/rafflecopters, which is most fair, but also more time consuming. Then there are photo contests and things like that – fun! My only note of caution re that is it should be voted on only by the paxmommies, not by everybody, as then it turns into a popularity contest, and the person with the most facebook friends (or the person who is willing to spam their friends the most, haha) wins. If that makes sense?
However you choose to do it, there will be somebody who is upset. That’s just how it goes. *shrug* Especially when it comes to these Tulas.

Colouring pages ….sell cool paxbaby colouring pages for a certain amount. Anyone who buys one gets their name in the pot. I would try a scavenger hunt of some sort. Make it to do with what WCs you have stocking. People get entries for correct answers.
I like fastest gingers but those are usually a bust with all the tula mom’s. ISO angel never picks me but i think she’s the nicest way to give rights to buy the beauties ?

BUY one GET one for someone in NEED. Buy one wrap conversion and also buy a wrap or Tula canvas for someone in need. Pax could go to women’s shelters with “donated carrier” and hand out to mamas there : )
I just did one that was half fastest fingers and half random draw. They posted a google document on their Facebook page and it was open for 10 minutes. The first 15 on the sheet won RTB and the remaining entries will have 15 people randomly drawn to win RTB.
I like RTB rafflecopters. They seem to be the most fair to those with slower internet connections and who are perma-mobile and who don’t live close to your servers.

You should play games on Facebook! You can play trivia games, and ask personal questions (ones that can’t be looked up on the Internet!) and allow fans to answer up to three times. You can also play a comment game where fans comment on a thread and when you say STOP the person above wins a stalk-free pass. You can also have fans post pictures on a thread with a specific theme and either you can choose the one you like best or whoever gets the most likes in a certain allotted time wins.

One week baby challenge. Everyday we post a picture of our selfs baby wearing and tell what we did while baby wearing. So many sentences long etc. Those who enter everyday get put in a rafflecopter to win rights to purchase. 🙂 would be fun!!
An online quarter auction with the proceeds going to charity. Basically people pay a quarter to get an entry in a right to buy.

Softstocking an item with a very limited demand will definitely be a disaster. A rafflecopter though I do not seem to get lucky on those are very good way to do it. The website wont crash and people do not have to keep stalking and spending a lot of time waiting for it. I would do a rafflecopter for a short amount of time.
ISO Angel is my favorite! As long as it’s not posted for only an hour in the middle of the night for us east coasters! Fastest fingers always crashes the site and ends in headaches all around.

I like the ISO angel even though she doesn’t like me, rafflecopter is great. Maybe a comment here post and then generate a few random winners. Fastest fingers is hard because some of us live in the country and our internet isn’t very fast.
I honestly prefer fastest fingers. I have zero luck at random draws. I don’t love the Boom Boxes because they are way over most people’s budget to get just one thing that they want/need.
Rafflecopter seems like a better way to do it so the servers don’t crash but I can’t seem to ever win one of those!!! 🙂
How about a scavenger hunt on your site? I’ve seen some other retailers do this and it was fun!
An internet scavenger hunt would be fun. Or a babywearing trivia contest that is only open for a short amount of time. You could pick the winners of the RTB from those with the correct answers. It is a lot of work though.

I like the idea of a stealth or soft stocking for some of them, ISO Angel for some and then a fast fingers for the rest. A little bit of everything! Whatever you do, please don’t make it FB or IG related. I don’t have either of those!!

As much as I love the ISO angel idea, how about something like a scavenger hunt in our own house/location. pick maybe a list of 10 different things. We have to go around and take a picture of those 10 things (a rainbow outside, silly socks, crazy hair day, a funny shirt, etc.) and they must be created into a collage before submitting. That way it avoids a million pictures posted. BUT every picture needs to have a hand written paper with the date on I and the persons namet (to avoid people from getting the pictures online). You can either give the list of all 10 items up front, or every hour or two post an item to see who’s actually following. You must have all 10 items on the collage to be submitted into the draw.
Rafflecopter – I usually don’t mind fastest fingers but it really does suck when the release time is during an inconvenient time of day. Rafflecopter makes it less stressful for me! Thanks for asking our opinion <3

Game of elimination? Pick a box A, B or C. Let’s say A is the correct box and 200 people chose that. These 200 people go on to the second round of choosing box 1, 2 or 3. Let’s say 3 is the correct box and 50 people who chooses that go n to third round of choosing box red, blue or green. Let’s say the correct box is blue and the 10 people who chooses it gets stalk passes or RTB.

Soft stocking, ISO Angel & FFF. May also introduce a guessing Contest for additional fun. For example – Guess 4 Tula WCs which will be in stock; a certain amount of people with the most number of correct guesses get a stalk-free pass each.

Could it be a coincidence or fate? I had a dream last night about getting a Tula. Yes, my babywearing addiction got so bad (or so good?) with my 2mo old, that I even dream about wearing him. And in a Tula carrier! 🙂

I think that the ISO Angel is a great concept except (like stated above) us East Coasters struggle with the time frames. I’ve tried and I just can’t do it. The idea of having a timed entry window for a random draw for RTB passes seems like a fair way to go. Then, once the short entry period is closed, do the random draw then give 24 hour notice of the stocking to the RTB winners. You could always do a redraw, like a Round 2, for a second RTB stocking then after that, do a public stocking. I’m not a big fan of the BoomBox idea for these because everyone has different styles and being required to buy other things we don’t use or like would be a deal breaker for most. But any way you do it, I hope it works well!

ISO angel or maybe you could try google forms. The first how ever many people to submit their info, gets the stalk free pass? It’s still anonymous because you don’t have to give the link to the responses, it’s time stamped so you know who entered in what order and its run on google’s server so maybe it won’t crash. It’s like a fastest fingers stocking but without utilizing your website server.

I actually like the idea of a soft stocking…we would know the date but time unannounced.
Offer a rafflecopter for each Tula, or I also like the photo contest idea.
Many people complain that when there is a set time for stocking that it isn’t in their time zone, so they end up staying awake until 3 a.m. waiting to try and score. and Rafflecopter is great and all, but when 5,000 people enter you can pretty much bet your chances of winning are, well, 1 in 5,000.
My idea would be to take a 24 hour period and announce what day this will happen, and then depending on how many WC’S you have, throw up a quick 10 minute rafflecopter, or you could do a facebook feed with a ten minute entry time limit, but the problem with this is that mamas don’t read the time limit part and keep responding to the feed. anyway, a quick ten or five minute rafflecopter window, then draw. This will cut the entry amounts for each WC significantly and give mamas a better chance, and since you will be doing it every few hours mamas in other time zones or ladies who don’t have their phone on at work will still have a chance to win! Anyways, I hope you like my idea and it isn’t stupid for some reason I haven’t factored in ^___________^.

I think it’s amazing how your guys are asking your customers what we would like. It shows great customer service. I believe you guys will make the best decision. In my opinion – doing a few raffle copter, a few given away during the week with fun contest which after reading the comments – there’s many creative ones and maybe leave a few for fastest fingers. I’m not sure how many you are getting so that might not be possible.

How about fastest fingers but dividing it by time zones or world clock. That way it lowers the traffic at the time of that specific time zone or world clock stocking. Everyone will still have a chance but will need to only try during their time zone and date. If you don’t follow your time zone and you score your order gets canceled and you cannot try for a year . Hope this makes sense 🙂

I would love the win the RTB a WC at Retail. While I have yet to win anything via Raffle copter it seems like the fairest way to do it. Fastest Fingers are Fun but I haven’t had success with a Tula WC Stockings. A contest would be fun but how do you judge cute baby pictures, they are all so adorable.

How about a Bingo card? Everyone who signs up for the WC gets a bingo card, and those who gets a Bingo and responds via email first wins the chance to purchase the WC?
I think you should use a doc and random draw setup. The doc would have all necessary info and you can select ONE right to purchase carrier (have everything listed) from the list. Then use a random selection for each carrier and send an invoice. 24hrs to pay before another random selection. Each carrier would have it’s own entries and random selection.
Such a sweet gesture asking all of your followers their thoughts on how to stock the popular Tulas! I think the idea of a soft stocking is great; we know the day but not the time, I also think stocking a few different times threw out the day would be nice as well so more people have a chance to purchase. Then offer a raffle for a few extras too! I would love to purchase one for my sister who will be a first time mama in a few weeks, she needs a Tula because I’m addicted to mine!!!
Some format of Rafflecopter is ideal. I like the idea of multiple short entry times scattered throughout a couple of days. That way there’s an opportunity for many people, but it doesn’t drag on forever. Also, simple entry for the Rafflecopter is best- I like when the only thing I need to do is provide my email address.

Maybe do what some other companies do and have people fill out a form connected to a Google spreadsheet. The form would ask for their name, PayPal email, etc. You could select a few people who fill out the form first (fastest fingers) and also a few to be randomly selected for RTB! Best of both worlds?
I love the draws. Even tho I don’t win. With history of stocking with the Tula there was not good feedback. What about the time slot again. Haven’t done that in awhile. 🙂

I like the idea of staggering the release of each by 5 minutes or so. Give a preview of what is going to be listed before hand (in no particular order) then list one at a time.

What about if you did a fun hide and seek game and like give clues to where they may be hiding? Or some sort of entertaining game. Rafflecopters and ISO angels seem to cause issues because people complain they have bad luck or they didnt see the link. This way you could give a heads up that the games will be starting

I like the idea of several different methods, maybe short time rafflecoptor, listing several and only saying it’s going to be in this short time stretch and not give specific times. All this means more work for you guys but maybe it will give people with different strengths and weaknesses to obtain one, for example someone who doesn’t have fast fingers can still try at the rafflecoptor. AAAHHH! Finding a new and creative way to pick a “winner” of the ever exclusive, ever elusive WC Tulas can be bleak and blind. BUT this momma is out of her mind as to what she WOULDN’T do for her DISO! Oh, not so long ago, she spotted it afar off, and from there her mind ran off. Off into the wild it ran. Dreaming of snuggles and wet kisses while she walked in the wet sand. Among friends she was, all adorned in their Tulas of delightful splendor! Oh what a beautiful time of a grand adventure! BUT all this played out in the mommy’s mind, for her DISO she still cannot find. She would jump through hoops, twirl around ’til she’s dizzy, even compete with her best friend Lizzy *gasp* But all in all this mother of a few, only wants to cuddle and snuggle her very last child, just like you do! I’m always a big fan of photo contests…but i like the idea of a staggered sale where you start at 1p or whatever..then release a few for sale along the course of an hr so it’s not a big rush at once. Might mean more work for you guys..but maybe would allow people a chance to hit the jackpot if theyre dedicated eNough. thanks for asking!

I’ve never been successful when it comes to getting a tula during a raffle, I must be too slow!! I think staggering them is a good idea, at different times of the day. Maybe a raffle or random drawing for who registers for that tula? Random picking from a comment. I saw someone posted about having one tula per a bundle of certain states? That would be fun!?

My ideal of the perfect stocking would be to release a list of the exact carriers with precise times a few days prior. Release them by Opening a random draw for a few short hours, 3 maybe? That way it’s not a mad scramble to grab everything but it’s not so vague of a draw that people are signing up for just anything. Carriers not purchased within 24 hours could be listed for fastest fingers. Would be nice but I’m sure it’s more work on y’alls end though… either way I’m excited to see what yall have in store.

I have slow internet so I prefer a random draw. Although I do like rafflecopter, I feel like people enter just for the chance to win rights to purchase so they can turn around and either flip it or trade for something else they like. I’ve seen where there’s a Google doc and you can only enter for the rtp one item out of their list of available items. Maybe something like this? Then people will only enter for the one they want and this would minimize the amount of people who enter just to turn around and get something else with it.

I like rafflecopter and I love your ISO Angel. It might be too much work but I remember another shop listed their exclusives hidden in listings for other items and that was kind of fun to try find.
A few ideas:
-Rafflecopter, only open to people who have previously made a purchase from PaxBaby
-draw, where your entry is an originally made meme. Either something completely new, or your personal spin on an already existing meme.
-Scavenger hunt across site, facebook, instagram, blog, etc
-Fastest fingers, announced via email announcement
-Multi-level contest. 1st – time limited entry on facebook, 2nd – only people who got in the 1st level receive instructions on how to enter the next portion, etc, can go until you only have 1 winner.

Rafflecopter would be a great way! Also, I think with the popularity of the Tula conversions, it might be a fun way to earn some money for a charity or two. Perhaps have a raffle for first dibs with a small entry fee ($1-5?) where the entry fee goes to whatever particular charity of your choosing. Have a cutoff for entries, no singular individual can have more than X entries, to try to level the playing field. Might seem a little odd to have to pay for a raffle for the rights to buy something, but given the right charity AND the right prize, it could be pretty fun! Good karma, too. 🙂

A series of soft stockings but not ones with a crazy long time frame. We all love tulas but being glued to the computer for 2 days is unrealistic.

I think “proving” you did “random” act of kindness is defeated when you are doing it to win or get get something in return. If you are doing a RAOK it should be with an open heart and no expectation of getting something in return.

I like the idea of doing multiple different types of entries for the Tulas. So that if you don’t get picked for one you don’t feel like you’ve totally lost. So maybe throughout a few days there are different entries, babywearing pics that one is randomly drawn from. Name your favorite Pax exclusive….draw one. Name your favorite Tula print….draw one. ISO Angel….draw one. Post your favorite babywearing meme….draw one. You could do other things like that for as many as you had or just pull out a certain amount of names from each one. So if you has 10 Tulas and 5 posts just pull 2 names from each instead of doing 10 posts. This was not supposed to be this long….. LOL!!!

Although I never win from any type of raffle….I think that’s the fairest way of doing things. Different entries throughout different days would be nice as well. ISO Angel is a sweet concept as well. I just love all PAX exclusives and would love the chance to be able to get one 🙂

I would like rafflecopter that requires a Paxbaby account! Each Paxbaby account that is entered in the rafflecopter must have a different home address. If there are paxbaby accounts with the same home address, they are disqualified from the rafflecopter. I think this may be a little more fair.
I also like the option of entering a contest type thing, like a good meme contest! Everyone LOVES a good meme! Or a best babywearing video contest. I am a fan of Paxbaby ISO angel so I do think you should keep that as well.

I love ISO angel but the past few times I kept missing them because it’s posted at night when I am putting my son to bed and only for an hour or so… I know that you post it after you put your own kids to bed and have more time but I always have delayed notifications from a lot of business pages on Facebook, along with it is PaxBaby’s posts. Facebook would only notify me several hours pass the time of initial post. I just wish there’s enough warning, like the day before…

Like most everyone – I think that random draw/rafflecopter is the “fairest” way to sell such a limited and high-demand product. To make it a little different maybe only open the draw for 10 minutes or so. However, to make sure that everyone has a chance to see, announce 24 hours prior to the draw so that people can set their alarms 🙂
Variety–ISO Angel, yes. Quick rafflecopeter, yes (but you can only register for one size, so people are only getting what they really want/love). Charity Auction, yes. PaxbabyLove Only random drawing, yes! Honestly no one will ever be thrilled–so just do what’s easiest and fun for you paxmamas! 🙂

I love stockings that involve games- in a local group we recently did a dance off, where winners were drawn from people who had submitted videos of themselves dancing and babywearing. It was great because while it was random, it required a bit of effort and interest so there weren’t a million erroneous and duplicate entries. Plus everyone got to have fun. I also love scavenger hunt stockings-where a store will post a few random items and the first person that posts a picture with them wins a pass- it requires both speed and luck!
I think it would be cool to have scavenger clues to find hidden icons on your page. Say maybe 5 and once you have found all five you email in. A random draw is then done of those winning entries 🙂

I think it would be awesome that people only go for the one they love… so perhaps a rafflecopter or similar, where people choose which *one* they love, and enter the draw to purchase during a set period of time. Would give even odds against all participants (no bots, no fuss with internet connection, no crashing servers), and have the hope of genuinely connecting the lovers with their DISO, rather than just grabbing for flip potential.
I’m a fan of random draws or rafflecopters, but I also love a good video challenge. Something like creating a song about Paxbaby Tula’s and posting it and gathering votes for the best one. I am a bit shy, however, so I most likely would just enjoy watching and voting and wouldn’t likely participate.
Maybe you have everyone post a pic of their DiSO and that counts as their entry? Although I second the treasure hunt idea!
Raffle copters and ISO Angel are great. I’ve never won the rights to either but still a good idea. Maybe only allow people to “try” for 1 or 2 prints instead of all available. Random soft stockings or a scavenger hunt for rtb are also fun options. Make us work a little instead of just luck of the draw ????. But either way you choose it should be something non time consuming for you cause in the long run not everyone will be happy and there will always be a flipper or 2. Don’t sweat the small stuff ?? Rafflecopter is always a great thing, but I like the idea of something fun, like scavenger hunt or trivia based on Pax blog posts or babywearing trivia (who invented the ring sling, etc) with answers entered into Google .docs and winners randomly picked from those who answered all the questions right. . .
I would do a “meme yourself” contest where people had to meme themselves dealing with parenting issues. Obviously you would ask people to keep it clean and keep everything in good fun, but it’s a great way to infuse some humor in the contest!

I think rafflecopters are the safest bet. I like the Google Doc Idea but I think that could get messy with everyone trying to enter information at the same time as well. I also wanted to say thank you for allowing us to have a say! Shows great customer service 🙂

I think a video challenge would be loads of fun – perhaps a song/dance/cheer about Paxbaby or Tulas. I think separating each Tula into its own rafflecopter and allowing people to only enter a certain amount is also a good choice too.

rafflecopter will always be the most fair. Instead of always using ISO angel maybe during nearby celebrations use characters instead, like soldier if it’s done during memorial day, the grim during holloween, santa or elves on christmas season

Have a pseudo stealth stocking where the time frame would be 1-4 hours. Seems like your servers can handle it fairly well.
NOT rafflecopter! It’s too passive, and turns into a contest for how many people you can get to enter for you, and I don’t have 30 extended family members available like some people do. I like some sort of quiz, and you pick winners from those that got everything right! That sounds super fun and requires some effort, so at least I would feel like I really earned (or tried to earn!) my (hopefully, fingers already crossed) win! 🙂 <3

I have racked my brain for months on a different way for stockings and cant figure out an amazing idea. I never in my life have scored at fast fingers so I just love ISO angel. I also like some sort of quiz that requires some extra homework 😉

Rafflecopter seems to be the most fair way, and we know how us Tula lovers can get a little excited over a Tula (or many!). Although you may only have one stalk free pass, I wonder if you can have people pick ‘which’ Tula WC they want the stalk free pass for when entering the rafflecopter, to limit ‘flipping’, and that way, more than one person can ‘win’ a right to buy a WC. It would be great for people who have never ‘won’ from you to have more of a chance – perhaps to be open to only those who haven’t won – yes, a little hard to monitor perhaps. I think it would be fun if there was a random trivia and you couldn’t move on to the next question until the first is answered correctly (etc.) then at the end there is a stocking or stalk free pass. The questions could even be made up, meaning its all up to luck. It would be fun and super fair 🙂
I love ISO angel because it’s such a sweet idea! I also like the basis of Rafflecopter since it has checks available to disqualify multiple entries from the same IP address. I have seen a few other people mention a scavenger hunt – maybe the answer to the scavenger hunt could need to be typed into Rafflecopter to go in the draw. That way it incorporates the fun of the hunt, and the fairness of Rafflecopter.

I think that since production can’t be increased, the key is to reduce the number of people trying to get to such a limited quantity. Limiting the number of Rafflecopter entries allowed, or putting a shorter time limit on entries could work.

I like the idea of a scavenger hunt or something similar to that. I hate rafflecopter, but if you use it maybe do a very short time span so it doesn’t rack up to a crazy number? I hate how difficult it is to get a WC at a decent price. I’m sure it’s tough trying to figure out a good way to do the stocking, it’s nice you’re asking for our input though! A scavenger hunt would be awesome!! In our local group we also had a dance off. Members had to submit a small video and the winner was drawn at random. Super cute and fun! A little nerve wrecking for shy people like myself, but luckily we could sub in an immediate family member baby wearing instead of myself.

ISO angel seems fairest. Soft stockings favour those that either have all day to stalk or have fancy add ons to their software to get notified when you add stock. Boom boxes are great but you’ll end up with a bunch of flippers if people don’t get the one the want (assuming boom boxes are random?)
You could go all crazy with ISO angel – like maybe get people to submit number of children they have and offer up x Tulas to each category? Or enter where they’re from and hit different cities to spread the love?
What if everyone enters and is numbered and then you pull numbers Bingo style? It could even be done live and recorded. “B12, you get a Tula!”

A birthday stocking! Anyone that has a birthday near the stocking date gets entered in a separate, smaller raffle. Designate a certain number that will be pulled from that raffle. So people’s who’s birthdays are close have a higher chance of getting rtb. A very cool birthday present!

My idea is called pax project!
It’s open ended and relates to anything pax baby!!
It can be a poem, video,art, picture. If it’s a media project it would have hashtag #paxbaby and #paxproject! The entry finalists can be picked by the pax family and the the final stalk free winners are voted on by users. I vote all carriers are stalk free that can only be won by the pax project. The projects are meant to market paxbaby and can be used at pax baby discretion. I already have my idea and plan to start today just for fun!

I love the contests but think a few different ones would be great to have going at the same time – a writing contest, an art contest, photo contest, video contest. Something that gives everyone a chance – I could write a tula skit but I can’t draw anything. It would be fun to enter whichever one appealed to you. But I definitely think contests should be in addition to the majority going through fast fingers or rafflecopters to keep it fair.

I’ve been trying to get a WC Tula from their stockings for over a year, so I’m clearly not a fan of fastest fingers since it’s never worked for me! I think it should all be rafflecopter.
