Even at 4 weeks to go until I have my own squishy babe to wear, I couldn’t resist grabbing my friends’ baby yesterday to pop in the Boba! We had a fellow “large family” over for dinner, & I was thrilled to be able to teach the sweet mama how to Superman Toss her 11 month old! Hey, every opportunity is a babywearing opportunity, right???
Congratulations to Meghan in VA for being Sling Exchange‘s 100th Beco Butterfly II renter since September 2010!
The PAXbabymoms are die hard Beco fans and have enjoyed helping so many babywearing parents find the Beco love through our Sling Exchange program! Exploring the depths of the baby carrier world can be a harrowing ordeal, but Sling Exchange has simplified the process and offered many many babywearers the opportunity to try out the carriers first hand to see which they and their baby prefer in person. Not having to rely on another person’s experience when making such an important decision is the key to a successful baby carrier purchase and a long lasting babywearing career!
Leave it to a Hawaiian mama to start a Hula Babywearing Class!!! This news article tickled my funny (babywearing) bone, and made me wish that we had a Hula Babywearing Class locally to me! Maybe I should start one! Hmmmm…????
“The swaying motions of hula can have a calming effect on an infant, and Hawaiian music can be as soothing as a lullaby. So why not carry your baby and hula at the same time! Welcome to Babywearing Hula, a class for moms who can bond with their babies while learning to dance… ”It’s a natural thing to dance with your baby, being with them and moving with them,” said Loo. “It’s about having fun with the babies and each other. You’re in Hawaii, so why not?” … Loo says the idea for Babywearing Hula started when her daughter, Kupuoha, was born. She was teaching hula, but her daughter, then 10 months old, still needed to be with her, so the solution was to carry her in class. ”She loved it. I loved it. So it was a win-win,” said Loo… By the end of class, some of the babies had been lulled to sleep.”

“Thank you so much for all of your help in our purchase of the Beco Gemini! I love it! It was indispensible in taking our 10 month old to DisneyWorld in February. He took his morning nap in it every day! He slept through lots of rides including Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, & Small World.
Here are 2 pictures!
Chip thought it was so cute that he was asleep… In the other one he had just woken up, so I simply flipped him around to take him in the building to see some characters. He really loved Rafiki from Lion King!
There are no words for how cute today’s Wearing Wednesday picture is! Thanks to Jessica for the adorable picture of her handsome boy and their FABULOUS custom Beco Gemini created by PAXbaby’s Pimp my Carrier!

For Christmas, I helped Baby #2 choose her favorite fabric to use on her very owncustom mini Beco!! She picked this adorable Michael Miller print featuring mermaids, and was very pleased with her custom Toy Beco! This afternoon she asked me to help her “get her princess on her back!” I love how she uses babywearing terms just like her mama! Now, off to the park for a dolly picnic! Wouldn’t your little one love to have his or her own Beco Baby Carrier - customized by PAXbaby’s own Pimp my Carrier program - tucked into their Easter basket? http://PAXbaby.com
