Infantino was warned repeatedly – for years – that their carriers were unsafe and a potential hazard, and yet the company chose to ignore the warnings until there finally was a death. With the drama related to the death and the huge recall on their products, Infantino rolled out their new carrier, the Wrap & Tie, which is an almost exact copy of a well-respected mei tai by CatBirdBaby. That WAHM had worked for years to perfect her pattern and in 1 fell swoop, Infantino put their name on a carrier essentially identical however it has been weight tested to be proven unsafe for any substantial weight or pulling. I would hope that Infantino’s blatant continuation to manufacture (overseas in China of course!) and distribute a carrier which was known to be dangerous as well as their infringement on a small business’s product model would be enough for you to join me in a full Infantino boycott as well! If we do not stand up for the rights of those too small to say anything for themselves or for those who don’t know the details of the situation, we are no better than the big bad corporate business themselves!

However, I do give them out as shower gifts to my friends. My 2 year old lived in her wrap when we were out and about, even on hikes through the woods. It would be horrible if I wasn’t “allowed” to wear or make them.
