PAXbaby
PAXbaby is very excited to showcase the similarities and differences between Beco Baby Carrier’s 2 styles of soft structured baby carrier! The Beco Butterfly II has been the “It” baby carrier since its debut in 2008, but the Gemini is giving the Butterfly a run for its money, offering babywearers a different selection of features and the same fabulous Beco style! Parents will be equally comfortable in either Beco carrier, but based on the individual needs of the child and adult wearing the baby, either the Beco Butterfly II or the Gemini will be better suited for your purposes.
PAXbaby
*If you are petite (shorter than 5’3″) the better choice would be the Beco Butterfly II due to the design of the waistband.
PAXbaby
*Is your baby’s head still wobbly or will you need a hood for sun protection? TheBeco Butterfly II features the full coverage hood while the Gemini only has a headrest!
PAXbaby
*Have you had previous back problems that would make adjusting a chest clip on your back difficult? If so, or if you prefer the comfort of crossed shoulder straps, wear a Beco Gemini!
PAXbaby
*If you are nervous about back carrying independently and need the added security, wear a Beco Butterfly II!
PAXbaby
*Breastfeeding is possible and comfortable in either Beco version, but the Butterfly provides more coverage, while the Gemini may require an added nursing coverup if you are feeling modest!
PAXbaby
*For the quickest on/ off action, wear the Beco Butterfly II!

*If you need help discerning which Beco carrier you need, just ask!*

This is so helpful! Sounds like (to me) that the Butterfly is better suited for a wider range of babywearers. I can’t wait to dust off my Butterfly in a couple of months!
I can’t wait for you to have your new squishy babe too! You take the CUTEST pix that I know you will guest blog at PAXbaby.com 😉
Love my Butterfly II. I have no idea how many times it has saved me! It fits my husband great too and he loves that we were able to get plain black and not a girlie fabric. LOL I would love to have a girlie one now that I have a little girl (8 weeks old). Oh well! I may get another just so we can strap both kids on when we go to “NO TOUCH” places like antique stores! LOL *Son is 2 on Thanksgiving*
THANK YOU SO MUCH BECO!! :o)
